Our Privacy Notice (“Privacy Notice”) is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, share and otherwise process information you provide to us, and to learn about your rights and choices regarding such information.  This Privacy Notice applies to PRO Technology Professionals (hereinafter, variously “PRO”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), the privacy practices related to the users of our products and/or services (“you” or “your”), and/or your access to and/or use of the website https://chicagocomputerrepair.com, any mobile versions or applications related thereto and any sites PRO has now or acquires in the future (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Sites or our Service in any manner, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Notice and consent to the data practices described in this Privacy Notice. PRO collects personal information about those who interact with us through our Sites and Services. We collect this information from you when you give it us or when we get it from your use of our Sites or Services.

Information you give us. PRO collects information directly from you when you provide it to us through our Sites or Services. When you sign up to become a user of the Site (a “User”), you will be asked to provide us with certain personal information. The personal information we collect directly from you might include: personal identifiers (name), contact information (email, phone), financial account information, visual information (photos and images uploaded to our Sites or Services), and internet activity information. You are solely responsible for the personal information you choose to submit. If you decline to provide your personal information or ask us to delete it, we may be unable to continue to provide the Services to you.

Information we get from your use of our Sites and Services. We collect personal information when you interact with our Sites and Services. We collect information from you when you (a) use and/or access the Services, (b) register an account with PRO , (c) open and/or respond to our emails, (d) contact PRO , (e) visit any page online that displays our content, (f) make purchases through the Services, and/or (g) provide information to any of our service providers, customers, partners, and/or other users.

Identifiers. When you interact with us through our Sites or Services, we may receive and store certain personally identifiable information along with anonymized data, which is collected passively using various technologies, including cookies, web beacons or similar technologies. We may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by our affiliates, agents or service providers.

Log Data. As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically. This information may include Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, the files viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.) and other usage behavior, operating system, device information, device location, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer the site.

Tracking Technologies – Cookie Data. We use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer our Sites, track users’ movements around the Sites, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. A “Cookie” is a tiny data file that resides on your computer, mobile phone, or other device, and allows PRO to recognize you as a user when you return to our website using the same device and web browser and enables PRO to collect information about how you use our Services. Cookies are categorized by how long they are stored and their function. 

The Cookies PRO uses are as follows:

  • Persistent Cookies: Persistent Cookies remain on a visitor’s device for a set period of time specified in the Cookie. They are activated each time that the visitor visits the Services that created that particular Cookies
  • Session Cookies: Session Cookies are temporary and deleted from your computer when you close your web browser. They allow PRO to link the actions of a user while using the Services.
  • Strictly Necessary Cookies: Strictly necessary Cookies are essential to navigate around the Services and to use its features.
  • Performance Cookies: Performance Cookies collect anonymous data for statistical purposes on how users use the Services, they don’t contain personal information and are used to improve the user experience.

You have a choice over use of cookies.  You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of the Services. If you do not agree to our use of Cookies, you should set your browser settings accordingly or not use the Services. Users should refer to their specific web browser’s instructions on how to do this. 

Telephony log information. If you use certain features of our Services on a mobile device, we may also collect telephony log information (like phone numbers, time and date of calls, duration of calls, SMS routing information and types of calls), device event information (such as crashes, system activity, hardware settings, browser language), and location information (through IP address, GPS, and other sensors that may, for example, provide us with information on nearby devices, Wi-Fi access points and cell towers).

Information collected by third parties. We may also receive non-personal information, such as aggregated or de-identified demographic/profile information, from third-party sources such as companies that specialize in providing enterprise information, analytics, and software as a service.

Social media information. Our website may use social media features, buttons, plug-ins and widgets such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn or interactive mini programs that run on our website. If you connect to your third party accounts through our products, we will use that information to authenticate you, enumerate the data sources available to you, download any data you request us to, and download and refresh authentication tokens or persist authentication information such as user names and passwords as necessary to continue to connect to the data. These features may also collect your Internet protocol address, which page you are visiting on our website, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our website. To the extent the social media features are hosted by the platforms themselves, and you click through to these from a website, the platform may receive information showing that you have visited our website. If you are logged in to your social media account, it is possible that the respective social media network can link your visit to our website with your social media profile. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy statement of the company providing it. Aggregated Data. We may accumulate and aggregate certain statistical and related data in order to improve the performance and functionality of the website and Services, to develop new products and/or services or to analyze the usage of the website and Services. We may use aggregated data for such purposes as we, in our sole discretion, deems to be appropriate including to deliver targeted marketing and product information, and to help us improve the Service and customize the user experience.

If we sell or otherwise transfer part or all of PRO or our assets to another organization (i.e., in the course of a transaction such as a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, liquidation, etc.), your information such as name and email address, user content and/or any other information collected through the Services may be among the items sold and/or transferred. We may also share personal information with our auditors, attorneys or other advisors in connection with corporate functions.

Other Disclosures with Your Consent. We may ask if you would like us to share your information with other unaffiliated third parties who are not described elsewhere in this policy.

Other Disclosures without Your Consent. We may disclose your personal information to comply with legal requirements, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena. We may also disclose your personal information to:

  • investigate and defend PRO, its directors, officers and employees, against any third-party claims or allegations, or otherwise to protect us from liability;

Public. Some of our websites may provide the opportunity to post comments, or reviews, in a public forum. If you decide to submit information on these pages, that information may be publicly available.

Service Providers. To support the Services we provide to you, we may use services hosted by third parties, including but not limited to, payment services, data analysis, data base and search services, and/or communication services. We may share your personal information with such service providers as well as information from tools such as cookies, log files, device identifiers, location data (such as usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, number of clicks, etc.) and various tracking technologies in connection with your use of the Services. Your continued use of the Services after any modification to this Privacy Notice will constitute your acceptance of such modifications and/or updates.

RIGHTS OF CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
The CCPA provides California residents with specific rights regarding their Personal Information. You have the following rights that may be exercised as further described below.

ACCESS AND DATA PORTABILITY RIGHTS
You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your Personal Information over the past twelve (12) months. You may make such request for access or data portability twice within twelve (12) month period. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will disclose the following to you:

(i) the categories of Personal Information we collected about you;

(ii) the categories of sources for the Personal Information we collected about you;

(iii) the business purpose for collecting (or selling, if applicable) the Personal Information;

(iv) the categories of third parties with whom we share such Personal Information; and

(v) the specific information we collected about you.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
Pursuant to Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code (California’s “Shine the Light” law), residents of California have the right to request from a business, with whom the California resident has an established business relationship, certain information with respect to the types of personal information the business shares with third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes and the identities of the third parties with whom the business has shared such information during the immediately preceding twelve (12) month period.

DELETION REQUESTS
Pursuant to the CCPA, you have the right to request that we delete any of your Personal Information we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will delete and will direct our service providers to delete your Personal Information from our records, unless an exception applies. Keep in mind, we may deny your request if it is necessary for us or our service providers to:

(i) complete the transaction for which we collected the personal information, provide a good or service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, or otherwise perform services pursuant to our contract with you;

(ii) detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities;

(iii) debug our website and/or identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality;

(iv) exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise their free speech rights, or exercise another right provided for by law;

(v) comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 1546 et. seq.);

(vi) engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when the information’s deletion may likely render impossible or seriously impair the research’s achievement, if you previously provided informed consent;

(vii) enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on your relationship with us; (viii) make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it; or

(xi) comply with a legal obligation.

OPT-OUT AND OPT-IN RIGHTS FOR SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
In the past twelve (12) months we have not sold Personal Information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration. If you are sixteen (16) years of age or older, you have the right to direct us not to sell your Personal Information at any time by contacting us at service@youneedapro.com by sending a request in writing to PRO Technology Professionals, 5019 W Lawrence Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60630.

In the event you make the foregoing request, we will wait at least twelve (12) months thereafter to request that you opt-in to the sale of Personal Information (should we change our practices in the future and desire to do so). Please note, you do not need to create an account with us or engage us to provide services to exercise your opt-out rights. We will only use the Personal Information and other data in the opt-out request to review and comply with the request.

VERIFICATION ON CONSUMER REQUEST AND TIMELINE
It is important for us to make sure that you are authorized to make the consumer request. Because of this, we’ll need to verify your identity and will ask that you provide us information to verify your identity.

If you make a request on behalf of another individual, we will need to verify that you have the authority to do so. You must also describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate and respond to such request. We cannot respond to your request or provide you with Personal Information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the Personal Information relates to you. We will not honor your request if an exception to the law applies. We will try and respond to requests within forty-five (45) days after our receipt of such verifiable request (or within such other time as required by applicable law). If we need additional time, we will notify you in writing and inform you of the reason for the extension of time. For the avoidance of doubt, any such requests for Personal Information will cover the twelve (12) month period immediately preceding the date of such verifiable request. We will provide such information in a commonly used format. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA. DO NOT SELL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION
The California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) provides California residents the right to prohibit businesses from selling their personal information. Selling under the CCPA is defined as “selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to another business or a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.” Our organization does not sell your personal information and only uses it for purposes allowed for under the CCPA. We use your personal information to carry out a business purpose defined under our Privacy Notice or to interact with a third party to tell them about your request to not sell your personal information.
